ABOUT

  Diaspora is a private dining company located in Denmark, the chef behind the company has lived in many countries such Brazil, Ireland, United Kingdom, Portugal, Italy, Netherlands and Denmark, everyplace he lived has richer his repertoire and improved his taste in gastronomy, after many years working in the fine dining field he decided to open his own company bringing his life journey as the voice of the company, that is why the company name is DIASPORA, to represente the relocation without excluding what he his, the opportunity to show to each guest the test of each country he lived and also, who he is and where he came from.

Diaspora is a private dining company based in Denmark, founded by a chef whose culinary journey spans several countries, including Brazil, Ireland, the United Kingdom, Portugal, Italy, the Netherlands, and Denmark. Each destination has shaped his craft, enriching his repertoire and refining his understanding of global gastronomy.

After many years working in the fine dining industry, he decided to create his own venture, one that would serve as a reflection of his life experiences and personal story. The name DIASPORA was chosen to symbolise movement and cultural exchange, the act of relocating without losing one’s roots.

Through each bespoke dining experience, Diaspora invites guests to savour the flavours of the countries that have influenced the chef’s culinary identity, offering not only a journey through taste but also an intimate expression of who he is and where he comes from

GOAL

Developing the visual identity for a private chef with the DIASPORA as the meaning of the company, reflecting the movement, the freedom and the opens up of cultural mixing and combination of ingredients all over the world with his life as the main motivation for the brand concept.

CHALLENGE

This project was also about overcoming my own limits. I questioned whether I would be able to design something that could truly express such depth. But when the idea of the flag came to life, everything clicked. It proved that design could translate not only a concept, but a life story, turning DIASPORA into a brand as authentic, rich, and fluid as the journey it represents.
